For Dotliers · Domain & digital asset owners

Forward your dot.
We’ll field the interest.

Point your domain to GoDotly’s private Asset Enquiry page. Every visitor who is curious about your name, website, app or business can reach you through us, without your details ever going public.

  1. A visitor types

    mydomain.com

  2. Your registrar forwards the visit

    Lands on

    godotly.com/asset-enquiry?domain=mydomain.com

  3. They submit a private enquiry

Step one

Create your forwarding link

Every domain gets its own link, so the enquiry page knows exactly which asset the visitor is asking about. Type your domain below and copy the result.

Your domain
mydomain.com
Forward to

With your domain added as
?domain=mydomain.com

Step two

Set up forwarding at your registrar

Use the forwarding feature built into your registrar’s own DNS. No hosting, no code, and you stay in full control. It usually takes five minutes.

A search field held open over a phone in someone’s hand
  1. 01Sign in to your registrar

Open the domain’s management or DNS settings at the registrar where it is held, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Spaceship, Porkbun or Cloudflare.

Look for: “Forwarding”, “Domain forwarding”, “URL redirect” or “Redirect domain”. The label varies by registrar.

  2. 02Paste your forwarding link

Enter the full link you copied above as the destination, including the ?domain= part.

Important: keep your domain name in the link. Without it, the enquiry form cannot tell which asset the visitor is asking about.

  3. 03Choose a temporary redirect

Select Temporary (302) forwarding and forward only, not masking or framing.

Why 302: it signals the domain is not permanently moved, so you can switch it back or develop it at any time.

  4. 04Cover both versions

Forward both mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com to the same link, if your registrar treats them separately.

Tip: remove any old parking page or marketplace “for sale” landing so the two don’t conflict.

  5. 05Test it

After a few minutes, type your domain into a browser. You should land on the GoDotly enquiry page with your domain already shown at the top of the form.

Not working yet? DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours. Try a private browsing window, or contact us and we’ll check it for you.

Then let us know. Register the domain with GoDotly through List Your Inventory so we can link incoming enquiries to you as the verified owner. Enquiries for domains we can’t verify are held until ownership is confirmed.

Not just for sale listings

Not selling the domain? Forward it anyway.

The enquiry form works as a free, open channel for collecting and curating ideas around your domain or digital asset.

  • Sell the domain outright to an end user or investor
  • Sell the digital asset, such as a website, app or business, while keeping the name
  • Raise investment around a brand or venture
  • Lease or license the name instead of selling
  • Find a partner to build on the name with you
  • Gauge demand and gather ideas before you decide

If you want to keep the domain but would consider selling the business, website or app built on it, forward the domain all the same. If you are simply curious about what the market thinks, forward it. Every enquiry is a signal, and we help you read it.

How we operate

Owner first. Always.

We check your interest with you before we commit to any end-user conversation. Nothing moves without your say.

  1. 01Enquiry arrivesA visitor lands from your domain and submits a private enquiry or offer, confirming they found it independently.

  2. 02We screen itWe filter out spam, lowball fishing and bad actors, and check who the enquirer is and what they intend.

  3. 03We ask you firstWe share genuine enquiries with you privately and confirm your interest, your terms and your floor before responding.

  4. 04We negotiate for youWith your go-ahead, we represent you through pricing, terms and a secure transfer through escrow.

  • We represent you, not the buyer

GoDotly acts for domain and digital-brand investors. Our job is to protect your interests and your value.

  • Every form of interest

We also engage with people seeking information about potential interest in other forms, from partnerships to licensing.

  • Genuine offers only

Each enquirer confirms they initiated contact independently, and that confirmation is time-stamped and logged.

Privacy

Your information stays private.

We protect domain and digital-brand investors. None of your information is made public, and everything you share with us is held privately.

Visitors only ever see GoDotly as the representative. Your name, your other holdings and your pricing expectations stay with us unless you choose to share them.

What visitors never see

  • Your name, company or contact details
  • Your asking price or minimum acceptable offer
  • The rest of your portfolio
  • Whether you are open to selling at all
  • Any enquiry or offer made by someone else

Questions

Forwarding FAQ

  • No. Ownership, renewal and registrar control stay entirely with you. Forwarding only tells browsers where to send visitors, and you can change or remove it at any time.

  • Using the enquiry page is free. If an enquiry turns into a transaction you choose to proceed with, the commission is agreed with you in writing before we act on your behalf.

  • Never. We confirm your interest and terms with you before responding to any end-use enquiry, and no sale happens without your written approval.

  • You can, but visitors will no longer see your site. If you want to keep the site live, add a link to your GoDotly forwarding URL instead, for example in the footer as “Interested in acquiring this?”

  • Yes, though we recommend you tell us where else it is listed so we can avoid conflicting prices or duplicate negotiations on your behalf.

  • Most do. If yours doesn’t, point the domain’s DNS to a free redirect service, or get in touch and we’ll suggest the simplest route for your setup.
