Ten days of stillness, and why

Our outbound reaches a buyer. That buyer very often runs a whois lookup and comes straight to you.

That approach is not a coincidence and it is not inbound demand.

It is our work arriving at your door with the attribution stripped off. So for ten days after a confirmed interest, the name is blocked in your dashboard and does not move.

If a buyer contacts you directly, refer them to us

One line does it: this one is being handled through GoDotly. Nothing else is required of you.

If a buyer identified or approached through GoDotly's outbound subsequently purchases the domain directly through another marketplace, and we can establish the identity of that buyer and its involvement in originating the opportunity, only a 5% commission is payable to GoDotly, in all fairness.

  1. Day 0 · Interest confirmed

We evince clear buyer interest and block the name in your dashboard. You see it the moment it happens.

  2. Days 1 to 10 · Domain held

No sale, no transfer, no side conversation. We process the deal and bring the buyer to terms.

  3. Day 10 · Released or closed

Either the sale completes and you invoice the buyer, or the block lifts and the name is fully yours again.

Three things you are always free to do

  • Selling to a buyer you sourced. Your own inbound and your own outreach stay entirely yours. We have no claim on a buyer we did not bring.

  • Withdrawing a name. Any unblocked domain can be pulled from the list at any moment, for any reason, with no notice.

  • Declining our buyer. The asking price is yours. Turning down an offer we bring is a commercial decision, not a violation.

A Dotlier who transacts with a buyer we introduced, during or around a block, has their account permanently deleted.

We will not accept future listings from that account, and we will not carry offers on any domain it previously listed.

This is not a penalty clause we hope never to use. It is the only thing protecting every other Dotlier on the platform, and the reason we can afford to do outbound work before anyone pays us.

Common questions

About the hold

  • Not on a blocked name. Prices on every other name in your portfolio stay fully editable.

  • The block lifts on day ten automatically. We do not extend it without asking you.

  • Tell us. If you can show prior contact, the name comes out of the block and out of our outbound, with no fee.

  • Yes, if a second buyer appears later. Each block is a separate ten days.

  • Only that one name, only for ten days. The rest of your portfolio is untouched.

One rule, and it is the reason the model works.

Everything else about the arrangement is designed to cost you nothing.
